Garry poses in Voque! - Aug 08
Although he didn't make the centrefold he appeared in a promotional article called Side Style:
"Dual-texture is one of this season's biggest hair trends. L'Oreal Professionel's stylists show you how to recreate the catwalk look in the comfort of your home......Garry Chapman of Scruffs in Cambridge, sees the dual textured trend as a superb antidote to the recent straight-as-a-rod look. It's a great way to have serious fun with your hair."
Scruffs are a well established L'Oreal Professionnel Salon.

Garry spells out his life lesson - Jul 08
In an article in the Cambridge News Garry tell's all, well not quite...Here's an extract of some of his comments following an interview with Emma Higginbotham
Hairdressing is supposed to be one of the jobs where people are happiest. Clients get excited when they come in because you're going to make them feel and look good, and I'm sure it just rubs off on us.
My father started Scruffs nearly 30 years ago, and my brother Grant and I run it now. From when I was a young lad, my mother and father ate, slept, lived and breathed hairdressing and my brother and I got funnelled into it without knowing it.
I became a Saturday boy at Scruffs and by the age of 15, I was coming in on Wednesday evenings after school to train. I loved it but it was tiring and as the boss's son the girls were a bit harder on me.
People always tell us their secrets. Some people really open up to you purely because you're not in their circle of friends. It gets a bit harder when someone tells you what they've been up to, and you do their husband's hair as well...
The best part of the job is working with such a fantastic team of people and making people feel good and look good. We do a lot of hours, but at the end of our day we're all still smiling, and there's not many jobs out there like that.

This inspirational live event kicked-off with an electrifying grand opening followed by Fergie in concert then a shopping and education marathon for us hairdressers, on new techniques and ways to use the Redken products in our salons.
We are all excited to put into practice what we've learned, so book in for your new lifestyle look today! |
Jamie's Birthday Hippie Bash!
These pics where taken recently at Jamie
Oliver's B'day Party, where the theme was late
60's back to Woodstock!, so as you can see
the hippy costumes came out to play! The night
was not just to celebrate Jamies B'day, but to also
try the food of his 3 best up and coming chefs.
The 3 of them have spent the last few months
competing against each other and the winner will
get their own pub to run in Essex.
Look out for the new
tv programme being aired later in the year about
their exploits. So as you can guess we ate lots
of great food at the party!
God we did look silly!!!
